Mindful Walking & Yoga

- Celebrate Earth Day -
Friday, April 22, 10:00 - 11:00 am
Blue Hole Regional Park, Wimberley, TX
Let's celebrate Earth Day by practicing mindful walking and Five Nature Element Yoga©
Multitasking, noise, excessive technology use: modern society is full of distraction. It's hard for us to get out of the busy-ness mode and just relax. Even when walking in nature, we often check texts, listen to music, answer calls, take photos, or think over things in the past and future. Meanwhile, we miss witnessing the ever-changing beauty and awe of nature, such as emerging wildflowers on the ground and the slow movement of the clouds.
On the upcoming Earth Day, let's take the time to drop everything and just be in the present to appreciate nature and fully experience its beauty. Get together with other people who also want to be one with nature and practice mindfulness in an intimate group setting.

What We Will Do:
-
We will practice walking in silence and tuning into our senses (e.g., feeling the ground under our feet, listening to bird songs, watching the trees moving with the breeze).
-
We will also practice Five Nature Element Yoga© (the yoga practice that invites us to explore the energies of Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space). This short, relaxing yoga practice is beginner-friendly and includes standing poses only. No need to bring a yoga mat.
